Accommodation
4.    Please describe the room you live in.
1.    Can you describe the place where you live?
its outline is a rectangle, wardrobe was on the same side with the door, the opposite side was the south-facing window, and along the left side wall was my single sized bed and desk, on the right side wall was plastered with the posters of xxxxx
2.    What do you usually do in your house/flat/room?
I watch TV and do some house chores like scrubbing toilets.
3.    Are the transport facilities to your home very good?
I would say yes, because it’s only 5 minutes’ walk to the bus station, and there is a subway station under construction as well.
5.    Is there anything you don't like about the place where you live?
I’m afraid yes, due to the close proximity to the bus station, it is a little bit noisy when it is at night. And it is too common that when I was about to fall into sleep, suddenly a car passed by charging full speed ahead, then I was awakened.
6.    What kind of decorations does it have?
there wasn’t many pieces of furniture, all of the wardrobe bed and desk were wooden, and barely upholstered.
7.    How do you think this room could be improved?
Well, I suppose there would be little enthusiasm for me to improve it, because I have been used to it. And nowhere is better than home, so there is little incentive for me to improve it.
8.    What can you see when you look out the window of your room?
It’s another residential building, between which is a small garden surrounded by a narrow alley.
9.    How well do you know your neighbors?
11.  Do you spend much time socializing with your neighbors in your neighbors’ home?
Not much. There are only 2 units on each floor, and my neighbour is about 70 years old and have a puppy. I stay at college most of the time. We don’t have anything in common and just say “hi” when we meet.
10.  What kind of people are your neighbors?
Well, since there are only 2 units on each floor, and my neighbour is about 70 years old and have a puppy. I stay at college most of the time. So actually I barely know them.
12.  Do you like the environment where you live?
I like the environment of the place I live here in Australia, because it is a suburban environment. I don’t mind taking 20 minutes to go to the city or university.
13.  Would you say the place where you live is good for families with children?
Well, I suppose it would be no difference to the adults, but I’m not familiar with the secondary education system in Australia, and I don't know whether there are some distinguished high schools in the suburb I live, so I’m not sure if it is good for children.
14.  In the future, what type of place would you like to live in?
15.  What kind of neighbourhood/environment/surroundings would you like to live in?

It’s a house. I would like to live in a bigger space. Preferably a two-floor detached house can give me more spaces to move around, especial in the garden. I always fancy having some BBQ parties with my friends in my own garden. But the problem is whether I could earn sufficient money to afford it.

IELTS SPEAKING PART1 - Internet

Internet
1.    Have you ever bought anything on the internet?
Yes, I purchased a memory disk before I came to Australia, because the 2GB memory is not sufficiently enough for the win7 system.
2.    What do you think is the best way to learn about the internet?
By and large, the best way to learn would be by using it. But if there is special purpose, like the online database of a university, then I might need special assistant in order to fully exploit it.
3.    Is there anything you don't understand about the internet?
Of course, the most obvious one would be I don't know the programme language of how to set up a website, because my major is not IT. I only know how to use it.
4.    Do you think the internet is a good thing?
By and large, yes, I believe its disadvantage pale in comparison with its advantages, because even though there is a considerable amount of unhealthy information, it do facilitate people’s life in numerous ways, like online shopping or obtaining information.
5.    Is there anything that's not so good about the internet?
Yes, there is a considerable amount of unhealthy information like pornography or violent information available on the internet. And apart from this, the quality of information is also inferior compared to its paper counterpart. For example, it is flooded with duplicated info and loaded with numerous ads.
6.    Do you think the use of the internet needs to be controlled?
For teenagers I suppose yes, because it is good for their future development. But for adults I believe the regulation would be redundant some time, except for the protection of privacy.
7.    Is the internet very popular in China?
Yes, even though china blocks many foreign websites, chinese people still have a burning enthusiasm for the internet in order to seek for truth.
8.    What kinds of people most often use the internet?
Well, I suppose it would be the vendor of online shops, like e-bay, because chinese media reported several incidence that some of these venders die due to their fatigue. So from this I would infer that they must be as busy as bee.
9.    What age group of people most often uses the internet?
I suppose apart from the geriatric generations, everyone has a heavy reliance on the internet, either due to their jobs or the addictive online games.
10.  How can people best make use of the internet?
Well, I suppose it would be helpful to be aware of your purpose, for example, if we are carrying out an academic research, then the info on the general internet would not be that useful, whereas we’d better use some special database or seek help from libraries. But if we just want to acquire a general understanding of one topic, then Wikipedia would be enough.
11.  In general, what impact does the internet have on people's lives?
By and large, it makes our lives easier, like online shopping, which could deliver your products directly to your home. This avoids the experience of sticking in the traffic jam or elbowing your way in a congested shopping mall.
12.  How can people learn things on the internet?
First of all, people can read the websites to gain knowledge on a particular topic, then they can also learn from the videos, like youtube, where a sheer number of people uploaded assorted educational programme up.
13.  What sorts of things can people learn on the internet?
I suppose almost all kinds of things that could be learnt from a book could be equally accessible via internet except for those ones which require practical practise, like doctors or builders, because as for these majors, theory is one thing, while doing it is another thing.
14.  What do you think are the benefits of "e-learning"?
In my eyes the major benefits would be that the location would be no longer a problem as long as there is internet access. Then the second would be the accessibility of top scholars as a result of the disappearance of geographical isolation.
15.  Do you think information on the internet is very reliable?

Internet is anything but reliable, I suppose, because it allows everyone to publish information from their own source, which is of less authority than the official outlets.

IELTS SPEAKING PART1 - Weekends

Weekends
1.    What do you do in your spare time?
I usually play computer or mobile phone games when I am completely free.
2.    What do you usually do on weekends?
Usually I will spend Saturday in library and the Sunday morning in the church.
3.    When do you spend time with your family?
When I was in china, we normally spend lunch time together, because my parents have to work while I need to attend school, so evening is the only time that we could meet on weekdays.
4.    What do other people in your hometown usually do on weekends?
Well, in china, Saturday is also the working day, and it is unpaid. I don’t know when it started, but I’m definitely sure that it is the fact now. And Sunday, most people would go shopping or hang out with friends.
5.    What are you going to do next weekend?
Probably I will do as usual, spend Saturday in library and the Sunday morning in the church.
6.    Do you feel that weekends are more important to you than when you were a child?
Yes, because when I was a child, everyday equals to weekend, since I didn't need to attend school, just monkey around. But after I grow up, that is the only time I could extricate myself from the daily routines like assignments or part-time jobs.
7.    Which do you prefer, Saturday or Sunday? (Why?)
Saturday, because Sunday leave me with a depressed feeling that it is about to usher in a new working day, while in Saturday I feel more relax because there is still another day to go.
8.    Would you say weekends are important to people?
Of course, even god needs a rest in the Sunday let alone people. And we do need a life, it would be better to balance work and life, in order to keep a jovial mood and good health.
9.    How does the average person in China spend his or her weekend?
Well, in china, Saturday is also the working day, and it is unpaid. I don’t know when it started, but I’m definitely sure that it is the fact now. And Sunday, most people would go shopping or hang out with friends.
10.  Do you know anyone who works at the weekend?
Well, in china, Saturday is also the working day, and it is unpaid. I don’t know when it started, but I’m definitely sure that it is the fact now. and apart from this, I suppose people who work in the service industry have to work on weekends as well like tourist guide, or even some doctors need to be on duty in case of emergency.
11.  Should people be working or resting on Saturdays and Sundays?
12.  Is it important for people to have weekends off?
I’d prefer to rest, because apart from work we have life as well, we need to balance them. And weekends provide us with a great opportunity to extricate us from daily routines, which is beneficial to our health as well.
13.  Should people be paid overtime for working at the weekend?
Yes, because people’s reward should match with their efforts, otherwise it’s a violation of people’s rights.

IELTS SPEAKING PART1 - Time

Time
1.    Would you say you are good at managing your time?
I would say yes, but I’m not good at sticking to the schedule.
2.    Do you wear a watch?
No, I feel it is redundant because the smart phone would be adequate.
3.    Do you think time is very important?
Yeah, definitely, I believe every minute counts. And I usually avoid monkeying around in order to be more productive.
4.    Do you think time management is important?
Yes, but I reckon that the ability to stick to what you have managed is more important. Because I usually formulate productive plans, but the real question is I could hardly implement it.
5.    Have you ever been late for anything?
Yes, it was in xxx, when I took the driving test, because I was extremely nervous last night so that I couldn’t fell asleep. Thus I got up late the next day. But fortunately, I finally arrived in time and sit the test.

Yes, because some of candidates decided to go there together, so if I were late, then all of other 3 candidates would have been affected as well.
7.    How do you feel when you are late?
I felt desperately sorry…. Even though they didn’t reproach me for this…
8.    When do you feel time moves fast?
I felt it elapse fast when I am absorbed into something. For example, when I am playing computer games, I felt deliriously happy and I could play that for a whole day even without meals.
9.    When do you feel time moves slowly?
I suppose that would be the time when I suffer from something. For example, when I was in primary school, I felt it excruciating painful to have math classes, and I checked my watch nearly every minute to see how long I had to bear. So at that time I felt it moves extremely slowly.
10.  If you could go back in time, would you do?
If I could go back without losing current memory or knowledge, then I suppose I would, because this indicates that I could change the past. However if I just go back both physically and mentally, then I don’t see any reason why I would like to do this, because interestingly, if this were the case, then I could argue the current I is the one who come from the future. So there would be no difference between future and now.
11.  Do you think punctuality is important?
Yes, definitely, because once you fail to be punctual, this not only affects yourself but also other people’s schedule. And I suppose this is nowhere more evident than the lawyer or doctors, who are as busy as bee
12.  What are some examples of occasions when it's important to be on time?
IELTS exam would serve a good case in point. The instruction clearly indicates that candidates who come after 8:30 will not be allowed to sit the test and more importantly, there would be no refund.
13.  How would you feel if the person you were waiting to meet with was not on time?
Well, actually I don't want to judge other people, because in Mathew god says: sawdust/ plank. So if I really have other things important, then I would give him/her a call to arrange another time.
14.  Do you think older people and younger people both have the same attitudes towards punctuality?
Well, I suppose yes, because the attitude towards punctuality doesn’t vary with age, but with what experience does one person has.
15.  Do you think parents should try to teach their children about time management?

Yes, because time is also an unrenewable resource, so we have to use it wisely, but more importantly, I believe that I would be more significant to teach their children how to stick to the schedule then have drawn up.

6.    Do you think museums are important?
As for me, I suppose not, because seldom did I go there, and I could live without it.
7.    Do you think it's suitable for museums to sell things to visitors?
I suppose it would be quite common for museums to sell some souvenirs, so if this complies the law, then I reckon it would be acceptable.
8.    What do you think is the role of museums and art galleries?
I suppose their roles would be educate or instruct people the culture or history of local community. But I don't reckon this is the best way to realise this goal. Because from my experience, I believe watching documentaries would be easier to acquire and remember the knowledge.
9.    Which kind of art do you think is more important, the art we see in the cinema or the art we see in art galleries and museums?
I believe that both of these 2 kinds carry a certain degree of importance. But personally I’d prefer the art in cinema, because I feel it is easier for me to acquire the knowledge compare to the static materials displayed in the museum.
10.  Do you think going to museums and art galleries is beneficial for children?
Yes, compared to playing computer games it would be much more beneficial
11.  Do schools in China have excursions to museums?
Yes, when I was in primary school, we had an excursion to the museum nearby, but I only have a vague memory of that, since it was more than 10 years ago.
12.  Do you think teachers should take their students on visits to museums?

Well, I don't see why not, because compare to textbooks, it would be more realistic, as long as this is necessary according to the curriculum and doesn’t affect their teaching schedule.

Sleeping
1.    How many hours do you sleep everyday? Why?

2.    Is it necessary to sleep enough?
I reckon the answer would be yes, because after I get up with inadequate sleep I felt dizzy and sleepy the whole day. So I were to have enough sleep, then I would have a more productive day.
3.    Is taking a snap important?
I suppose yes, because when I suffered from inadequate sleep, I felt to dizzy to concentrate on my study, but after I took half an hour snap, I felt much more refreshed.
4.    Do old people sleep a lot?
I’m afraid yes, because grandfather slept for approximately 10 hours per day at night and he also takes a nap at noon.

Yes, it’s a black BUICK car. But we hardly drive it due to the exorbitant gasoline price currently in china.
4.    Do you often drive it?
I hardly drive, because apart from the exorbitant price, I feel it is dangerous to drive especially during the time when I brake the car to halt. It often left me a feeling that I would run into the car in front before it could stop.
5.    (If you don't have a car) Do you plan to buy a car in the future?
I suppose yes, because the public transport system in china is a nightmare, I would rather prefer to stuck in the traffic jam than to travel by the heavily congested buses.
6.    If you wanted to buy a car, what kind of car would you choose?
I’d prefer an audi A4, because neither is it too ostentatious like BMW or Medicines, nor does it have an inferior quality. Because made in Germany represents a high quality.
7.    What model (= what brand) of car would you like to buy?
Audi car, because it complies with my character, which is introverted, so I don’t want to flaunt myself like BMW or Mecidies. Apart from this, it is made in Germany, which represents a high quality.
8.    What kinds of cars are popular in your country?
Well, as for affluent people, luxury cars like BMW would be the most popular one, but for relatively impoverished families, Japanese cars like Nissan or Toyota would be more epidemic.
9.    Do you like traveling by car?
It depends on the distance, if it is short halt, then I suppose yes, because it would be more convenient and spacious than the public transport. But for long halt journey, even though I wish, it wouldn’t be feasible, like travel from china to Australia.
10.  Who do you prefer to travel with?
If I could, I’d like to travel with my parents because I could be attended by them instead of rely all on myself.
11.  Do you like to take long trips in a (your) car?

It depends on whether I drive or not, and how many people are there in the car. Because driving for a long time would be tedious, and if there are a lot of people in the car, then the space would be limited. So in this case I would prefer to public transport.

4.    Is that a popular subject in your country?

I suppose knowledge is only the part of the story, because some of my classmates and me are sort of job-oriented.

I suppose it would be science or finance. Because they are easier to find a job compare to literature or arts.

10.  What are your favourite classes/ courses/ subjects at university?

Mobile Phones
1.    Do you have a mobile phone?
Yes, but it’s in my bag not with me.
2.    Is your cell phone important for you in your daily life?
I’m afraid yes, because its root is so embedded in our lives that I suppose hardly anyone could live without it. For example, our contacts, photos and even important personal info are all stored in the phone. There would be catastrophic consequences if we lost it.
3.    What do you use it for?
I could use it for assorted ways. For example, the basic application would be contact people, while the more advance one would be playing games through apps.
4.    How often do you use it?
Nearly every day I have to say, because even though there is no phone calls or messages, I usually check my mailbox via cell phone, since it is more convenient than using a computer.
5.    When did you get your first mobile phone?
I received my first cell phone when I was in senior high school, in order to facilitate my parents to contact me.

8.    Have mobile phones developed (or changed) in the past few years?
Definitely, just compare the previous black and white screen and the game of snake with today’s smart phones and those numerous apps, then we could discern how dramatically it has changed. And even x-plane 10, a virtual airplane game is now available on the app store.
9.    What feature (or, function) of your cell phone do you like the best?
I suppose it would be its operating system, which allows different applications to be installed, just similar to windows. So basically what could be done on the computer is now feasible to carry out on the phone.
10.  Is there anything you dislike about using cell phones?
The problem would centre on its radiation, and what I was told is that it is detrimental to our health. But it seems hard to avoid it because too many people are using it, so even though you stop using it, the radiation from other people’s phone will harm your health as well.

Yes, the main problem is the limited capacity of battery. Because when traveling, it would be hard to find electronic access
12.  Do you usually use your mobile phone to call people or to send text messages?

13.  Who do you usually call/send text messages to?
Since I’m introverted, so I don't have a wide circle of acquaintance, thus the people I usually contact to are my parents and a few of my good friends.
14.  Do you think you will be using your mobile phone more (than you use it now) in the future?
Yes, I suppose I will, because as the technology progressively developing, more and more functions will be available on the cell phones and a cell phone is much more portable than a laptop, thus it would facilitate my daily life.
15.  How do you think mobile phones will develop (or change) in the future?

I suppose it will firstly simulate the functions of a laptop, and then to display some originality. But the essence or the aim would be to facilitate people’s lives, like synthesizing different functions together, such as remote controller or MP3 etc.

Photography
1.    Do you like to take photographs?
I’m afraid not, because I’ll break the camera no matter how warm my smiles are.

3.    In what situations do you take photographs?

4.    What kind of photos do you like to take?
5.    Do you prefer to take pictures of people or of scenery?
I’d prefer scenery much better, because even though people could also reflect the pass of time and record my memory, but it also evokes me a sorrowful feeling compare to the change of scenery. This would be attributable to the limited lifespan of human beings. So…
6.    How do you keep your photos?
In the past I have no choice but to develop the film and store it within an album, but now, thanks to the highly developed technology, I can keep them in the electronic forms, and upload them into the net disk, like dropbox or skydrive, which could avoid the frustration when my computers are cracked down.
7.    Do you frame any of your photos?
Seldom did I do that, because I took photos in the pursuit of recording changes, which would take a long time to reflect, so after I took the photo, I would prefer to keep it in the film or PC.
8.    Do you prefer to send postcards to people or to send photos that you took yourself?
I’d prefer to send photos taken by myself, not only because it allows me with much more freedom rather than confined by the limited scenery of postcards, but also because it would be more meaningful in that it is taken by myself.
9.    Is photography a popular hobby in China?
Actually I’m not sure, but what I am sure is that it is progressively popular than it was before. Because it is readily discernible on the social websites like facebook that more and more girls tend to show their photos with different poses. So based on this, I suppose it would be more epidemic.
10.  Why do some people do not like taking photographs?
As for me who do not like taking pictures, the most direct reason would be I will break the camera. And then I kind of prefer to hind myself from public attentions because I’m introverted.

I suppose the reason would be to record themselves, because when you gradually getting older, it would be a great way to recall your memory of the past by looking at the pictures.
12.  Do Chinese people like to visit photograph exhibitions?
I suppose not, because as far as I know, there even wasn't many photo exhibitions available in china, but since the city where I live is a medium sized city, so the situation might subject to change when it comes to metropolitans like BJ or SH
13.  What kind of photos do they like to look at?
Since I’ve never been there before, so I could hardly tell you what they would like to enjoy.
14.  Do you think being a photographer would be a good job?
It might depend on the people, for those who don't like experience changes in their lives, this might not be a decent choice, because even though it may earn a handsome salary, it requires the ability to readily adapt to changes, because I suppose they need to visit different places to take those photos.
15.  What factors make a good photograph?
Originality would be the most important factor, because most of the creatures have already been seen by people, so they have to exploit another way to express them, otherwise people would feel dull in their pictures.

6.    How much time do you spend relaxing?
I didn’t calculate in detail, but generally I would like to integrate relax and other things together, for example, I would like to watch videos while having meals, or listening to music when walking or cleaning my room, in the attempt to minimise the time I spent on relaxing.
7.    What do you do on weekends?
On Saturday I would like to go the library as usual, and on Sunday I would go to the church maybe or stay at home, because the local library is closed on Sunday.
8.    Do you think modern people have enough time for relaxing?
I suppose not, because the living pressure on modern people are much more considerable than before, especially the financial pressure. 11.  Do you ever go out with your workmates/colleagues or classmates?
Even though I am introverted, there were some occasions that I went out with my friends, like a birthday party or went to the internet cafe to play online games.
12.  Do you prefer to do things in a family group or a group of friends?
I would prefer within a group of friends, because when I am with the elder, I can’t help but paying too much attention on the social protocol like how to address them or minding myself to use honorific titles. So I felt much more constrained than the time when I am with my peers.
13.  What leisure activities do you and your family like doing together?
Watching TV is the most frequent activity that we do together, because we could hardly see each other in the daytime due to work or study. But all of us have time in the evening, so that’s the easiest activity a family would do in the evening.
14.  In your leisure time, what do you usually do with your friends or family?
If I am totally free, then I would be playing xxxx, an online game, alone at home, because I am introverted, and seldom hung out with friends.
15.  Do you think it's important to spend your leisure time with your family?

Yes, this is not only because Chinese culture highly values the close bond existed within a family but also this is a great opportunity to share your feelings with other people, which may extricate you from a depression.

IELTS SPEAKING PART 1 - Bag

Bags
1.    What types of bags do you use?
By and large, I’d prefer the bag with many layers and small bags inside of it, because it would be helpful to categorise my stuff, like books, assignments or pens.
2.    What do you put in these bags?
Usually my laptop, textbooks and stationary
3.    Do you usually carry a bag when you go out?
Seldom do I carry that, because I’d prefer my hands free. But I would like to have my bookbag with me, because it is on my back and doesn’t occupy my hands. Apart from this, it also makes me to feel a sense of safe.
4.    What sorts of bags do women like to buy?
I suppose they would prefer the most fashionable one no matter how much it would cost, which I believe is rather irrational, but I could hardly understand why.
5.    When you are buying a bag, what factors do you consider?
For me, the usefulness ranks the top, and the price should be reasonable. and I wish it would have many layers and small bags inside of it, because it would be helpful to categorise my stuff, like books, assignments or pens.
6.    How do you make your choice when you are buying a bag?
I would compare its usefulness and quality to other bags, and then check whether the price is affordable for me
7.    Do you think the style of a bag is very important? (Why?/Why not?)
As for me that wouldn’t be a problem as long as it is not too ostentatious, because I am introverted, and don't want to flaunt myself, just want to be humble and modest. Thus I care more about its utility rather than the style.
8.    Do you have a bag for special occasions?

I’m afraid not… because I am a person who appreciate the familiar stuff and kind of resist to attempt for the new. So I carry the same bag no matter what occasion it might be.

Boating
1.    Do you like boating?
I don’t have a strong preference for that, and I only did that when I was a child in a small artificial lake in a park.
2.    Why do you like it?
Actually I don’t like it very much because I felt it hard to maneuver the boat, but it might be attributable to the lack of strength as a child.
3.    What have you ever done by boat?
I once travel by boat to my grandma’s home along Yangzi River and that was the only time I travel by boat because it cost me for more than 3 days, and the food there was nothing but delicious and I had no alternative but to survive on a diet of instant noodles.
4.    Do Chinese people travel by boat?

Yes, especially people who live along the river or creek in the rural area.

IELTS SPEAKING PART 1 - Music

Music
1.    Do you often listen to music?
Seldom did I listen, because I aspire to achieve more when I am still young, so I kind of want to keep myself more assiduous than others. And the material I listen to when I am monkey around is BBC, in order to improve my English.
2.    How much time do you spend listening to music every day?
Well, I usually indulge myself with music only when I am completely free, so it’s hard to say on a daily basis, but by and large, I will listen more when I am on the vacation.
3.    Where do you listen to it?
Usually at home, while I am doing other trivial things like doing a light reading or tiding my stuff.
4.    How do you feel when you listen to this music?
I suppose it depends on the type of music I am listening to. Eg. If it is rock music then I would feel inspired, but if it is soft music, then it would leave me with a peaceful impression.
5.    Have you ever been to a musical performance?
I wish I could, but I didn’t have the chance.
6.    What musical instrument is most popular in China?
I suppose it would be guitar, but I am not sure about that since I didn’t pay too much attention to the musical area. It just left me with an impression that guitar is the most frequently seen on the entertainment programme.
7.    Which instrument would you prefer to study – the piano or the violin?
I suppose it would be piano, because my most favorite singer once accompanied herself on a piano, and it has a much more haunting melody than violin in my perspective.
8.    What benefits do children gain by studying music?
In comparison with me who had no exposure to music, I feel that those who studied music are more confident or outgoing than I am, probably because they need to perform publicly.
9.    Do you think it's important to learn to play a musical instrument?
Compared to basic surviving skills like your major or cooking, I hardly think so, but if you have already had a decent living standard, I reckon it would be beneficial to fill the gap in our knowledge of music, because it would extricate ourselves form the daily routine.
10.  Do you think schools should teach children how to play a musical instrument?
I suppose it would be better for schools to encourage students to do so as long as the instruments are provided freely by school or government, because some of them would be exorbitant high in price like piano.
11.  Is music an important subject at school in China?
I’m afraid not, especially in high schools, because students there are under intolerable pressure to prepare for their college entrance exams. And the number of successful candidates is the only criterion to gauge how good a school is in china, so subjects like music or P.E. are usually neglected by most educational institutions.
12.  Did you often listen to music when you were a child?
Not really, but it must have been much more frequent than I am now, because the older you grow, the more pressure you may suffer which would dictate people from their aspired life styles and do sth they don’t like.
13.  How does music affect people?
Inspirational music would motivate people and revive a positive spirit, whereas soft music would calm people down and extricate them from daily routines.
14.  Compare the music that young people like and the music that old people like.
By and large, I suppose young people would prefer modern music, whereas geriatric people would be fond of traditional music. But traditional music was once modern as well, so I suppose the age is not a variable in predicting the type of music people like within a long time.
15.  Why do many old people dislike pop music?

I suppose pop music would require more energy, because it motivates people to move according to the music and thus, usually they are too loud. Both of this is not what geriatric individuals would prefer.
