The
table demonstrates the statistics regarding to the percentage of consumer
expense on sundry models in five European countries in the year of 2002.
A
manifest feature is shown that in all of the countries listed, non-substitute
staff such as food, drinks or even tobacco shares the most significant expense proportion
in people’s daily life, followed by clothing and footwear, and the rest of costs
go to leisure and education.
In
the row labeled as Food/Drink/Tobacco, Turkey ranks the first (32.14%), with a
marginal advance over Ireland (28.91%). The third position goes to Spain,
narrowly beating by Italy and Sweden to the fourth and fifth place, all of
which share a proportion with approximately 16% percent. A significant shrink
in ratio could be seen in the middle row, named as Clothing/Footwear, none of
whose percentage surpasses 9%. To specify, Italy is on the top (9%), followed
by Turkey (6.63%) and Spain (6.51%). The remainders are Ireland and Sweden,
which represent 6.43% and 5.40% respectively. Also small are the rates in the
last category, Leisure/Education, within the realm between 1.98% and 4.35%.
